how to run .dll files in foobar

hello all, im new to foobar and this is my first forum post. i am having trouble with a .dll file i want to import into foobar somehow, either by dragging it into the c drive program file folder or ctrl+o within foobar itself and then opening the .dll file. ... neither of these attempts has worked and i do not know what to do next. the .dll file is "foo_musicbrainz.dll" which would give my player a way to tag the id3 metadata of tracks that were missing it. i guess, if there is a simpler way to accomplish this, then i will not need a solution to running .dll files after all, but i want the solution to that as well in case i need to open them for another function in the future. please advise me on how to open this file. thanks in advance

From the component page where you likely downloaded the component

i just tried this, and was unable to complete it because the .dll file would not show up in the list of components once i clicked "install..."

you must type *.* that ''dll'' files be visible, then locate file and click install...

I was able to install it after all, using this method. thank you. but now that i have the musicbrainz database integrated with foobar, i do not know how to get it to correct id3 tags of incorrectly tagged tracks. how do i do this?
