Sansa Fuze Capacity

I have a "4 GB" Sansa Fuze V2, and also a 4 GB Sansa Clip V1.  A combination of two issues results in the Fuze apparently having ~300 MB less usable storage than the Clip.

1.  The Fuze has exactly 3,932,749,824 bytes of storage according to Windows.  The Clip has 4,097,769,472 bytes.  Therefore, the Fuze's capacity is approximately 65 MB less than the storage industry's definition of 4 GB.  It should be at least 4,000,000,000 bytes.  (Note:  I am not complaining that I have less than Windows's definition of 4 GB on both players, as I understand that Windows and the storage industry define one gigabyte slightly differently, and that the storage industry's definition is longstanding and fairly well-accepted.)

2.  The two players have exactly the same files on them, except that they each have their respective RockBox distros.  The "Size On Disk" of the larger of the two RockBox distros is only 15.9 MB, so the effect of this is negligible.  Nonetheless, Windows reports 2.60 GB on the Fuze is being used, and only 2.43 on the Clip, leaving about 0.17 GB of phantom space.  When I go to the root directory of the Fuze and highlight all the files I can see (with "show hidden files" selected) and click properties, these files are only 2.39 GB in "size on disk".  This is the same as for the Clip.  Where is this ~0.17 GB of phantom space being wasted?

Edit:  The problem is not different cluster sizes.  Both the Clip and Fuze have cluster sizes of 32k.

1. you may need to do a fresh format on your fuze, I had to after a firmware update because it wouldnt stop with the messege about to little space for the database(when i had over a gig free....)

2. the fuze's firmware is larger, not sure how large it is once installed but it supports video and audio not just audio, so its def a larger firmware then the clips.

Different cluster size?

IIRC the V2 players have a larger firmware partition then the V1 players.
