Front / back cover shown on other apps

I have tagged file with 2 images on front and back

I mostly want to look at the front cover, but when I use other players or just the file explorer it never wants to show front cover

I could just replace all the images to be in back cover, but it would be more convenient to have it prioritize the front cover

I just tried it and it's the same for me in the Windows 10 file explorer.
I tried with Mp3tag, which also lets you specify the type of cover (front, back...), and it's the same thing.

Could it be that media players are picking up the last cover image tag they come to in the file?  Perhaps you could try taking a file with no cover images in it, then add the back cover first and the front cover second.  (I would then check that the tags actually appear in that order in the raw file.)
It's your privilege to disagree, but that doesn't make you right and me wrong.

I tried doing that and yes, it does work and the cover image shown is the last one in the file data, it even shows correctly on spotify local files. However the only program that I use that it doesn't work with is AIMP

So it's a question of working out what logic AIMP is using, or finding a setting which controls it, or using something else.

Testing it I found that AIMP does it the exact opposite of the other apps. 1 on file explorer, 2 on AIMP. Should I go to their forums for further discussion?

I suspect the problem is because you're using PNG. JPG should work everywhere.

Have to agree with marc2k3 that the possible issue is that you use PNG images

I used JPG and the result is successful
I wonder if I could skip this entirely and have the other images not embedded in the file? I think there was a plugin for that
