Lossless Question

Ok so I ripped the first track from my Mogwai cd (government  commissions) to 3 .wav files using 3 different programs to see if there was any file size differences.  Sure enough there was. (itunes ended up producing a larger lossless .wav file by 188 bytes.)  Is it fair to say that iTunes created a "more accurate" rip of the track?

Please note I also checked the track time with audtion and they are EXACTLY the same up to the millisecond.    Is iTunes better than EAC!?

No.  iTunes probably created a larger file header.

Just checked...

Seems you are right!  I removed all the properties from each of the .wavs and than converted then again to .wav lossess with db poweramp.

Sure enough iTunes is now the same size as the others....

Thanks for the quick answer!  I'm new to this lossless stuff!

Do not trust file sizes when comparing, they may be exactly the same but the files can still contain different audio data. Use foobar's Binary Comparator, for example.
