I have some low bit rate files that won't play in Foobar put...

play in other players - including my Zen - without a problem.  I used dbPowerAmp to convert them Foobar sees them and I can verify them but I can't play them.  Some are some self help mp3 that were given to me.  Some are ones that I bought but are low bit rate.  But some that I ripped at the same setting play fine.  The play bar moves but there is no sound and the spectrum analyzer shows nothing.  Any suggestions on where I should start looking for the problem?

It might be helpful if you could upload a sample file here.

I'll upload a few but what  I just noticed is the ones that I checked out that don't play are mono and the ones that do are stereo.  Hope that helps!

I added mono to stereo in the DSP manager and they play!  Does this normally have to be added?

Sorry forgot to say thanks.

if your using WASAPI output it is a known issue.

if this is the case your correct in using the mono to stereo dsp converter, also for low bit rate files use the Resampler.
everything should be running smoothly with them in your dsp chain

however, if you aren't using WASAPI i haven't got a clue im afraid

but seeing as you don't know what WASAPI is its quite unlikely you'll have it set as your output as its a seperate component download.

sorry i cant be of more help, but if you can tell us what Output method you are using im sure someone else may be able to help
