Ah thank you for the link, still having another problem. I don't have any of your images that are supposed to go with the config. like artoverlay and the "start" for the opening screen. Where can I find the images?

How do I get the "Browser" to work with this? It was set up perfectly when I was using the Foomarok Panels UI theme and I was EXTREMELY comfortable with it. I really want to use this, because I love the way it works, but the only thing I don't know how to get work is using Browser. Is it even possible to use the Browser with this? Thanks!

Edit: Actually, I think what I am trying to do is change the "album list panel" to the "Playlist Tree" that Foomarok uses, which would then allow me to stay on my *Browser* playlist and use the playlist tree to select artists.

Edit 2: Looks like I figured it out myself  I just need the Segoe Script and Kroeger 05_55 fonts now.

Helo, I have an other problem. When I play a music, the meter doesn't work. I have always 0 after the name of the music.
I think it is a problem of Component but I don't know which of them.

And also how I can put a cover because I put cover at album with iTunes but some of them doesn't work with foobar.

i've got this error when first run the config files

kinda new in foobar world pls help,i have tried to redownload the only single component needed and replaced but still got that error

looks cool, but will edit it for me a little bit


only problem:

when you have a 400GB Music Library you waste too much RAM (around 200mb, and thats only because foobar cant get more)


edit: how do i get away the "start" button?


edit2: is there a possibility tht someone upload the vista-fonts? and how can i get away the borders around foobar (the XP corners for closing, minimize etc.)

edit3: how can i say foobar how it should sort the playlists? (e.g. %path_sort%)

edit4: when foobar is opend (not minimized) i have a cpu usage of 100% (AMD 3700+ with 1 gig RAM). is that normal?

Hi guys

Thanks for the great skin Falstaff but I have a few issues which I hope you guys can help me with:

#1: I'd like the default sorting of the libary to be by album artist, then album name. How do I achieve this?

#2: I'd like to startup Foobar with Chronflow at the bottom and playlist above it by default. How do I achieve this?

#3: I have a problem with Chronflow where artwork seems to be displayed for each track or there just seems to be an infinite amount of covers:

How do I get this to just show a cover for each album found in the library? For example, if there was one album in the library then Chronflow displays just one album cover and no more.

#1 - Which library viewer? For the album list panel, you can create a new view that does what you want or modify the artist view to default to album artist.

#2 - That I don't know.

#3 - Go to chronflow preferences. Under album source, change the group by to just %album%.  Under display, change the text to just %album%

#4 - AFAIK, you'll have to do it manually for now.  You'll probably have to ask the Chronflow's developer if it can be added to a new version.

#5 - Mine was white, but I would follow falstaff's original screenshots if you want to leave it at its default.

I've worked out #1, #2, #4 and #5. Chronial says that you can press F5 to update but it doesn't seem to work. Does it work for you?

And another issue I've found is with Graphical Browser, the images are a bit too big and the artist image gets cut off at the bottom. Is this intentional?:

I'm very satisfied with this.
btw I have a question.

When I click the button on top for rating, it writes "Rating" tag into the file.
But I don't like that mp3 tag is edited.
I know "playback statistics" can add rating using context menu without editing tags.
so I hope to know that it's possible to connect the button to playback statistics.

Sorry for OT but cant find some easy solution..

I see that a lot of foobar users have wide collection of artist images. I would like to have it too :-) So i ask - where to get artist images - if possibly at one place? I know artist.trivialbeing.com but this is propably shut down for longer time.
So now the biggest collection is propably on the last.fm Is there any tool or script to get these pictures? I use album art downloader for covers and there was a script to get artist from trivialbeing which is no longer accesible.

EDIT - Solved - I had old version of Album art downloader :-( Now there is a script for last.fm)

Just reread your initial question.  It seems as if Chronflow is designed as a carousel, so if you've only got one, it'll just copy it for infinity; two, as is the case with your screenshot, will copy the two in order to simulate the flowing carousel.  I didn't think about it because of the size of my library, but I'm pretty certain that that's what's happening.  I don't know how to stop that; I suppose you could try writing a custom cover display script.  I think the Albumart configuration in the Chronflow settings would be the place to start from.

The size of the album image is directly linked to the width of the left panel.  In full screen mode, the left panel area is wider, so the image stretches larger to fill the size.  Either the panel has to widen at a shorter pace when going full screen, or you'll need to shrink the growth of the box that contains the album picture.  In the splitter settings, there is a $puts() functions for a box and a cover.  You should try decreasing the numbers for the w and h statements.
