From APE to Nero AAC....

I tried to convert a ape file first to MP3 with Lame and then to MP4 with Nero AAC.
The two file were created. Both seem to have the same tag information, but the MP4 has not the filename I was expecting. Only trak number and title.
In the "preference" option seems they booth have the same filename parameters structures.
Someone can clarify this aspect?

Another question. I would like to assign to foobar the replay of any music file in any format.
where is the option to say that .mp3 .mp4 or any other music files must be associated to the foobar program?
I know that should be easy but I do not find the option (WinXp sp2)
Thanks
