MPC settings for speech recording ?

i didnt find a similar thread yet, so...

is MPC okay for a pure speech recording, i.e. an audiobook ? are there any special switches ?

I think you can try -thumb and -bw to limit the bandwidth, from 3KHz to 600 Hz.
