First impression is very good. I've been looking for a lightweight alternative to Nero for some time. This might be it.

Hm. InfraRecorder crashed when adding some mp3 files to an audio cd project.

Both are great apps IMO.

I use ImgBurn for creating/burning images, and Infra for data CD/DVD burning, I especially like Infra's simeple UI (<3 tango.)

Yup, superb tool, from Ligthning UK (the DVD Decrypter author), donated twice already  .

Closed source, unfortunally.

annnnnnnd?
It works much better than any open source alternative that I know of. Leave aside your open source zealotry for a moment.

Hmm, the fixate option is not working correctly for CDs. Scenarios and results-

SAO Burn Mode -
1. fixate - closed cd
2. do not fixate - closed cd

TAO Burn Mode -
1. fixate - closed cd
2. do not fixate - unreadable/unrecognized cd

So from the above, I am unable to burn an open cd for use with multisession
writing.

I posted this to the bugtracker.

Can anyone recommend a freeware cd burning app that can both write multisession cds in DAO and TAO mode, and verify the written data?  I am having the hardest time finding one that works (I had hopes for Infra here, but no luck yet).

Incidentally, I can't even get burnatonce to write multisession cds correctly.  It writes the first session ok, but fails to append a second session....so I'm really in need of a good solution here.  If only ImgBurn had multisession support....I love that app.

I don't think there's a good freeware app (yet) that can burn multisession discs
