Alternative Sony Network Walkman Software

I have a sony NW-E107. It is decent, but the software is horrible. (Sonicstage and the other thingy they make you use).

Does anyone know any alternative software for it? Like 3rd party software? My old Rio player had 3rd party software that worked well.

Doesn't the NW-107 play MP3's natively? If so, you can probably try Sony's "mp3 manager," which is a little application that lets you drag 'n drop MP3 files to the device sans SonicStage. Try googling for it - I'm not sure where Sony keeps it on their website.

It plays MP3s nativly, yes.

I have the MP3 file manager thingy, but unfortunatly it is VERY limited. I can only put music on it, and delete music. I cant even change the name of a folder.

It is better then sonicstage though =)

This is the reason I am sticking with iPods.  They have their downsides but iTunes is a very nice friendly application unlike WMP and the host of other hideous managers out there.

If I had an ipod, I wouldent use iTunes. I think there are ways around iTunes.

Ive used itunes as a music player, and I have come to the conclusion - all the big giant jukeboxes are useless.

Why cant sony just let me use my file manager to drag and drop files to it?

Honestly, for my mp3 player, the hardware is great. I just hate the software. It is such as hassle to transfer songs.

And I hate that it is not fully MP3 compliant. It can only play mp3s that are a 44.1 Khz sampling rate...
