will an aacPlus codec able to play enhanced aacPlus file(ignoring the PS part)?

where can i get hold of aacPlus, Enahced aacPlus audio files?does anyone has some sample files???

Yes. HE-AACv2 files play as mono files in an LC-AAC and HE-AACv1 decoder.

aacPlus and Enhanced aacPlus are properly called HE-AAC and HE-AACv2.

Nero 7 includes a HE-AACv2 encoder, you can use the free trial version to get an impression.

You can rip CD tracks into both formats in Winamp 5.12.  Winamp uses Coding Technology's HE-AAC encoder.

That's not true in all cases: AAC-LC and HE-AAC (v1) decoders will playback HE-AAC v2 files only, if parametric stereo is signaled backwards compatible. I.e. in case of e.g. mp4ff you can signal AOT 29, which is not backwards compatible. In this case the player should not play out at all...
