CD storage w/o jewel cases

I've got about 900 CDs that are now purely a 'hard archive'; they've all been compressed to flac.  I'd like to get rid of the bulky jewel cases and store the CDs, the booklets, and the tray liners in a more efficient space-saving way -- like a small file cabinet or set of long boxes.  I can find plastic or paper sleeves for the CDs and booklets, but nothing that lets you store booklet, trayliner, and CD in one sleeve.  Is there any such thing?  The deal-breaker seems to be tray liners -- these are just shy of 5.5 inches wide if you fold the title flaps in, but I haven't found any CD storage products that accomodate that width... except of course for jewel cases.

I remember a thread where someone provided a link to a company which sold really comprehensive wallets, which I suspect would do the job.

I've just tried the search for 5 minutes and frustratingly can't find it though.

I read it about a year ago.

Sorry I'm not much help, but I thought it was worth mentioning that the info is here somewhere!

I'm going to keep trying for a bit, you may know better keywords.

Edit: And lo, I find it.

The thread. Discsox website.
I'm on a horse.

I don't recommend to store discs in anything other than jewel cases. Jewel cases don't touch the disc's data surface with anything other than air. What other storage device does this ?
I know that I know nothing. But how can I then know that ?

I've been using these sleeve things that I buy at CompUSA. I never thought they were specific to that store, however. I don't have the label with my supply, so I can't provide any name or brand info. In that store they are on the shelves with jewel cases and other storage solutions.

They are just about the same size as a jewel case, except for the thickness, of course. There is a pocket on both sides. They will take two CDs or a CD on one side and the booklet/tray liner on the other. I guess they would not be suitable if you demand the tray liner be separately housed, however.

The part of their surface that would correspond to the jewel case's hinge mechanism is separately reinforced and provided with two holes sized for loose ring binders (or perhaps some storage 'book' sold separately). I've found that they fit well in the old 5.25" diskette storage trays I still had hanging around.
