SBD>Echo Indigo IO

I have recently purchased an Echo Indigo IO card for my laptop.  I want to be able to record shows from a bands soundboard onto the laptop.  I've done recordings off their soundboard with a Minidisc recorder with no problems.  I want to record directly to my laptop because it will allow me the freedom to not have to change discs and also be able to record without the inherent compression involved with recording to the MiniDisc.  My problem is that the recording levels coming from the board need to be adjusted, Sometimes up, Sometimes Down to make a good recording.  The MiniDisc allowed me to adjust the recording levels, the Echo Indigo IO does not.  What do I need in between the Soundboard and my Echo Indigo IO that will allow me to adjust recording levels?
