Joining WAV Files.

Hi everyone. I know this sounds quite simple but I searched all ovre and cant seem to find a program that is free, and will allow me to join 2 wav files into one.

I have Audacity, but I can't seem to find how I can join wav files in that program and whether or not it can even do that. Thanks for help.

You could try [a href="http://www.mrichter.com/cdr/files/wavmerge.zip]WavMerge[/url], but I don't know if it's free.

My own program Wave Repair will do what you want ("Edit -> Append Other File At End"), and if you have just a few isolated cases you want to join then you'll be able to do that within the 30 day eval period.

I'm assuming you're going to be using Windows. All of these are without cost.
The following console applications can join .wav files: shntool with its 'join' switch.
And it is my understanding SoX can concatenate files into a single file. (Windows binary here)
How to join files in Audacity.
The venerable foobar2000 has a feature called "Run conversion, single file output".
I've found information on Google searching for "concatenate wav file" and "audacity join wav files".

I hope this helps, tec

I think EAC's wav editor also has an "append wav" function. Since we're all already using it for ripping, there's no need for a new program...
I know that I know nothing. But how can I then know that ?

I've used Wav Joiner for doing this with huge files.  It isn't freeware, but the trial version allows you to join 2 files at a time (which is all I ever need).
