[USELESS] "Reset all" button in preferences window

In my opinion, this button is very unusable and abusive, because it's too easy to click on it instead of "Save All" or "Close" buttons, and to lose then all the configuration.  And my multiple keyboard shortcuts take long to re-setup...

What do you think about moving this button somewhere out of it's current place?

The reset all button even has a confirmation dialogue that explicitly asks you wether you want to have all your config data erased.

What on earth more could you want.

But surely you have to agree it would be better suited under "Core" or somewhere else, considering how much it is used and how much damage it can cause.

You can be a rocket scientiest for all it takes; a mere few seconds of your thoughts drowsing elsewhere will suffice and you'll end up having clicked the wrong button twice.

I almost did this a couple of days ago (stopped at the confirmation dialog) and it was a most disturbing occasion. So I second the original poster's motion.

It's quite trivial to move, hide or grey out with reshack

That reminds me of how I almost wiped my programming projects directory. It surprised me how easily I managed to type

cd ..\..
rd /s programm[tab]
y

(SHITSHITSHIT)

[ctrl-c]

when I meant to erase a broken CVS snapshot tarball instead, which was one level into the programming directory. Luckily, I didn't lose anything important, and the few things I did lose were backed up on another machine.

Does this mean I should have a more complicated procedure to remove folders from my system? Maybe you should consider backing up your foobar2000.cfg and database.foo every few weeks or so.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled Recycle Bin o' spam and wishful thinking, please return to the forum when you have some more sensible ideas.
