This is really weird. I got no mail from them, neither did ScorLibran (who is hosting it). I only became aware of than when Ivan told me, some minutes ago.

I'm sure it's not bandwidth abusage - RareWares only used 20Gb this month, and the quota is 90Gb

Dunno, maybe someone sent them a cease-and-desist letter *shrug*. Wouldn't be the first time.

ScorLibran and I are investigating what is going on.

As a matter of fact, of all the "Sites of the month" at http://jaywebdesigns.com only Rarewares is redirected to the suspended page...

Seems that it would be a real problem on thier end, because the suspended page is what's reporting the "problems", not just rarewares.org

yes, it's definitely not a systemwide issue.

Another reason why I believe it was cease and desist.

OK, I'm with Jay on AIM now.

According to him, there was a trojan wreaking havoc on the server hosting RareWares and three other JWD sites.

It seems the visitor is automatically redirected to the "account suspended" page when the account can't be reached.

He already deleted the trojan, so RareWares will hopefully be back relatively soon.

Sorry for the interruption everyone.

When I told Roberto I'd host RW on my Jaywebdesigns account, I took it seriously as I knew a lot of people depend on the site for hard-to-find encoding software.  I've been even more careful to keep the account in good order than when it was only my stuff there.  So we'll stay on this until it's resolved.

I hope they'll have the problem fixed soon.  Jay's customer service people told me in an email that they had their "entire staff working on it".
