@Everybody
I totally agree that iTunes is pure crap as I only use it for handling all sort of files on every Apple device I own, considering that there's no alternative. Never for listening to music!!! To every device I own either Android or ios, Windows or Mac I have Foobar2000 installed as the default music player since I discovered it as it was the only gapless audio playback which is very important to me cause I'm listening to classical music and opera. Please consider that I'm buying iPhones since iPhone 5 SE (my first one) and I'm trading them every time some new model is coming out (now I own 16 Plus) therefore I've also got some experience in all kinds of OS. If you google the topic "iTunes not detecting device" you'll see that there are enough complaints about. And what's that foobar mobile you're talking about??? In all my devices I have foobar2000 installed latest version as I'm updating it regularly! Never ever needed any SD card for any reason! I contact regularly to Apple support and be sure that if I needed one they would be the first to tell me. I may not use other music players than foobar to know but I use other software quite crucial for my job (not by Apple of course) which if they didn't backup every single new file I save, be more than certain that I would have thrown every Apple device I own right to the garbage bin!!! Still I'm not sure if foobar music files are not saved during "Back up EVERYTHING in your device" option encrypted in either iTunes or "Apple Device" software and I'm not willing to cause a crash to find out. Therefore I'd highly appreciate if this issue accidentally occurred to any kind soul reading this thread to let me know. Many thanks in advance!!!

Odd that you use Android and have never used SD Card!

No matter how up-to-date foobar2000 and foobar2000 mobile and multiple operating systems use, your question is to backup your music folders.
It is more likely to be resolved by going to the Apple or iPhone site. Or rather, the wrong site.

For example, there are many software programs that have backup functions, such as software for transferring data to iPhones, and you can hear reviews of such software on iPhone forums, right?

We do not understand why you are so concerned about this forum.

What gatekeeping, copyright, and how aggressively? If you rip your own music from CD there is no protection. And if you have bought music from Apple in the last 15 years, there is no DRM as they abandoned that music industry enforcement long ago in 2009. I happily use iTunes to serve my local music and movies to several AppleTV devices at home.
Isn't that my point?  You use iTunes to serve music to Apple devices.  Are you also able to copy content managed by iTunes out of the iTunes environment, should you happen to want to?  So fae as I can see, you maintain a separate instance for non-iTunes.
It's your privilege to disagree, but that doesn't make you right and me wrong.

Of course, these are just music files stored locally. On that same machine both MusicBee and Asset also have access to the exact same directory / library. And it is these same files that I can copy to mobile devices with no changes required. The only "walled garden" is their hardware devices like the phones or legacy iPod.

Sorry for adding this off-topic side note...

"Mea culpa" I have to admit! When writing "Android" I meant my big screen Sony TV on which I haven't installed any music player. Who's listening music from a TV anyway? That's the reason I'm not interested in either foobar mobile or SD cards! I repeat that transferring data to iPhone  is not my issue! This can be done perfectly by iTunes and nothing else. My issue is backing up foobar music files already transferred by iTunes and being able to restore them after some accident. Be sure that every album I buy or download in either physical (vinyls, CDs etc) or digital form is being transferred to external HDDs. Don't worry about that as where money is concerned I'm fully organized!!!
"For example, there are many software programs that have backup functions, such as software for transferring data to iPhones, and you can hear reviews of such software on iPhone forums, right?"
WRONG!!! at least to my knowledge and considering that the only I know and is supported by Apple is iTunes which I consider pure crap when installed on a Windows 11 PC. On a MacBook it works much better. Therefore if you can suggest any would be highly appreciated! It's quite strange though as I said above that other software's (not created by Apple) saved files having nothing to do with music can be backed up normally! Sorry but in this field (digital music) I only know and appreciate foobar2000 and nothing else. That's the reason I've started this thread as in case it's foobar's issue (not saying it is) some developer could fix it.
Edit: There is "Apple Device" software which can be transferred other sort of data not foobar files though. At least not when installed on a Windows PC. I've tried it and it didn't work.

Since these are music files transferred using iTunes, they should be stored in the iPhone's standard folder.

foobar2000 mobile for iOS:
Media Library:
I think there are two default storage locations in the Media Library.
foobar2000 Music Folder and iPod Library (iPhone's standard folder).
It is stored in the iPod Library.

So it's an Apple problem.

As mentioned earlier, you can manage your data using commercially available backup software.

If you search for the location of the iPhone's Document folder, how to access it, and commercially available transfer software (backup), you will find a lot of information.
This is not recent information. This information has been around for years. It's odd that you use all the apps and operating systems and don't keep track of it.

All of your questions are Apple issues.
So please move to the forums of people who use iPhones.
They are not foobar2000 mobile for iOS issues.

To my knowledge an iPod device doesn't exist!!! Perhaps you mean iPad which is Apple tablet and I've never mentioned it as I don't own any iPad!!! If you really want to help please read my thread more carefully as I was talking about an iPhone or perhaps a MacBook (laptop) which I don't use for listening to music, although I have installed foobar on as well. How many times shall I repeat that I'M NOT INTERESTED IN FOOBAR MOBILE AS I HAVE FOOBAR 2000 INSTALLED!!! I also never said that I used many apps apart from foobar2000 and those 2 suggested by Apple for backup. Please use facts, meaning app names (as Motley G did regarding music players) not just words if you really want to help and not just show off! From my side as said I can name a few (not having anything to do with music and not created by Apple) whose files backup alright with iTunes. The only difference is they're not free as foobar is. I BELIEVE THIS SAYS EVERYTHING!!!

Have you looked at the Media Library?

You are using “foobar2000 mobile for iOS” on your iPhone.
You have selected "foobar2000 mobile" as the question category in this forum.

Why don't people actually do it when there is so much information available by searching?
Why not just go to the forums and ask where you can get a lot of information?

The problem is that you don't know that the app you are using is “foobar2000 mobile for iOS”!
And that there's a lot of information out there, but you don't want to find out for yourself.

Everything is an Apple problem, not related to foobar2000. Do you think this forum will solve your problem?

According to apple support for iPhones, they cannot guarantee that even with the full backup option files from software not designed by apple will be backed up either on iCloud or PC. Not once only but 3 times I've had my iPhones loosing all data during installing updates especially via iTunes. And yes I've been transferring all those albums from my PC, however considering I have a huge music library I can't remember which ones I've passed to my iPhone.
The backup process through iTunes is the most complete. It is my understanding that you need to enable the encrypted option for a true full backup to be done. I would be more concerned about the loss of data you are describing during OS updates. This is unusual for it to happen even once, never mind three times.

Regarding SD cards, sorry but I'm not familiar at all with those "techniques" and I need further step by step guidance. In fact I've never used an SD card in my life.
No iPhone has external storage options built in. But there are Lightning and USB-C adapters that can use storage media. These are also accessed through the Files app and can even be used to transfer media from the card to the iPhone internal memory.
SOLUTION: THREAD SOLVED
