AAC decoder?

I'm trying to work out whether there is native AAC support in FB 2+ x64?

I've installed the free_encoder_pack , pulled the two libraries from the old Winamp, but nothing is showing. No errors about anything being x86,

So useless for converting away from AAC or playing them?

No, they are perfect for CONVERTING.  Did you let Foobar install conversion capability in your initial install (foo_converter)?  These are designed to work with that.  Are you trying to convert TO or FROM AAC, and to what?

Ah - thanks. Realised what I'd missed. There (were) no tags in the files, so they were being seen but not where I'd expected them.

Sorted.

There is no native tag format for pure AAC files.  You can "force" ID3 on them but that can lead to various problems.  Your best and safest option is to losslessly wrap the AAC files in a M4A wrapper, which allows the assignment of the whole gamut of widely recognized MP4 audio tags while not touching the original audio quality.  There are several forum posts here on how this can be done easily using ffmpeg.exe.
