I have read about it.
How to configure correctly with WASAPI for high-quality playback of Flac up to 384/32, up to DSD512?

Your sound card is limited to 192/24 max with no DSD support, so you'll usually just get an error message if you try to use something that's not supported when using exclusive mode, if you're using shared mode foobar2000 can be configured to use whatever resampler components you prefer.  In this case you resample the audio to 192/24 or whatever you want to use that's supported by your card and works fine.  WASAPI is built into foobar2000 2.0, you can use shared mode (default) or exclusive mode.  You also simply convert DSD512 to PCM as well.

It is important to point out that...
ASIO driver is an abstracted hardware, which means the playback software treats the ASIO driver itself as the hardware. Many budget or older audio interfaces themselves don't have any 32-bit DAC or additional hardware DSP, but the ASIO driver can still accept 32-bit fixed point input and convert the signal to the hardware's native bit-depth. 24-bit ASIO drivers are actually less common as 24-bit is not a primitive data type for many programming languages.
The same applies to sample rates as well. Not only applies to wrappers like ASIO4ALL, but also dedicated drivers provided by individual product manufacturers.

Applied WASAPI exclusive mode. The external component is SACD only.
The sound is high quality!  :o
Flac and DSD formats play without problems!
I hope there will be no more sudden reboots.
Thanks everyone!

The test is successful - no errors.
The sound is softer, cleaner and easier to play on a computer. It's subjective.  :)
Super!
Special thanks to Chibisteven!

I liked listening to the DSD to PCM converter in mode Direct (64fp, 30kHz lowpass) - no hiss.

Since ASIO4ALL is actually using WASAPI under hood, it also should be safe, when using it together with official ASIO output component foo_out_asio

Just a quick check and I found that in foobar2000 1.6.16 WavPack decoding is handled by foo_input_sacd but in foobar2000 2.0 x64 it is handled by WavPack. WavPack always decode to PCM 24-bit with 8x decimation which means DSD64 will be converted to 352.8kHz and in the case of DSD256 it would be 1.4112MHz which could be unsupported by many products.

OK, probably not a foo_input_sacd issue, but it is very strange. Exact same files copied to another drive, one drive shows 1-bit 2.8224MHz then another drive shows 24-bit 352.8kHz. These are files checksum, not audio data checksum.

Why is Bitrate going down?
You can see that I also provided screenshot in Windows Explorer and also file checksum to show that they are the exact same files. There was no conversion. The only thing I did was copying the files to another drive.

They are all DSD WavPack files, not unpacked dsf or dff files.

So the differences are not on the files themselves, it is the way that foobar2000 2.0 x64 display files. The exact same files that shows 24-bit 352800Hz with different bitrates are all displayed as 1-bit 2822400Hz and 5645kbps in foobar2000 1.6.16, with the same version of foo_input_sacd (of course, x86) installed.

Also I checked that there was no issue in PCM decoding: if I disable or uninstall foo_input_sacd, DSD files will be decoded to PCM with 8x decimation, when foo_input_sacd is enabled, PCM sample rate will follow the settings specified in foo_input_sacd.

Last I checked foo_input_sacd used dubious means to steal WavPack decoding from the core. If it still does that the behavior can be random. It should instead just rely on decoder service order.

Thanks, in this case others may not be able to reproduce this behaviour. FYI both foobar2000 2.0 x64 and 1.6.16 are portable installs without interfering each other.

WavPack DSD has a .wv extension, but the Codec is DSD.
Therefore, it is treated as DSD. Use the DSD playback Setting.

If Codec is WavPack, it is normal WavPack.
All you have to do is play it using Resampler.
Isn't it 384/24 DXD?

It can't be. WavPack DSD has been around for years
Please review Setiing such as Preferences > Tools > SACD.

WavPack DSD has a high compression rate and is useful because it can include tags.

Read my posted screenshots again very carefully:
https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,124399.msg1029613.html#msg1029613
There is no DXD, just WavPack DSD. I've mentioned MANY MANY times that they are the same files. Did you see the file sizes in the two Explorer Windows are identical? Did you see the screenshot showing identical MD5 checksums? So this ruled out any other factors (e.g. metadata) which can potentially affect the displayed formats.

These files are originally .dsf. I, MYSELF, used wavpack.exe command line tool to archive the files as WavPack DSD. I can also use wvunpack.exe to unpack them to the original .dsf files and in this case the displayed info will become 1-bit 2822400Hz and 5645kbps. So there is NO DXD AT ALL.

You can CLEARLY see that in this screenshot. There is only one instance of foobar2000 2.0 x64, and you can see in the two Explorer Windows showing the EXACT same files. How can a single foobar2000 2.0 x64 instance simultaneously show different file info for the exact same files? I just copied the files to another drive, how can COPYING files changing the files themselves?

This solved the mystery. I think I played the files before the first time I installed foo_input_sacd in foobar2000 2.0 x64 and the info did not update after installing foo_input_sacd.

Why Codec is WavPack?
WavPack DSD Codec: DSD (Because it's DSD).

If Codec is WavPack, it is a normal WavPack file.
Bitrate is also 352800Hz.
It's not WavPack DSD.
352800/24, 384000/24, 384000/32, 384000/32 These are files called DXD.

example:
WavPack (High) DSD
-Extension: .wv
-File size : 81.9 MB (85 885 018 bytes)
-Sample rate : 2822400 Hz
-Bits per sample : 1
-5645 kbps
-Codec : DSD64
-Codec profile : DSD64 high

Check the properties of the converted file.

What is the command line?
How is it displayed when playing Native DSD?
What is displayed in the status bar?

Try BatchEncoder.
