ID3TAG in MP3 format - the right TAG name for the LYRICS

Hi.

I'm looking for the right TAG name for the lyrics. I've found a few discussions on the internet, but it's still not entirely clear to me. Official standard for the ID3TAG name, for lyrics field, in MP3 files, probably does not exist ?

Correctly there should probably be the name "LYRICS" for synchronized lyrics and "UNSYNCED LYRICS" for non-synchronized lyrics (according to the Lyrics-Show-3 / Foobar2K).

I'm confused by two facts:
1) the plugin "Lyrics Show 3" for Foobar2K uses for unsynchronised lyrics, the name of the TAG including the interword space - i.e. "UNSYNCED LYRICS" and not "UNSYNCEDLYRICS"
2) the names of the TAG, called as "SYLT" (SYnchronised Lyrics or Text) and "USLT" (UnSynchronised Lyrics or Text), was officially used for lyrics... but... is it no longer used ?!

BTW, it is really the chaos ... for example, according to the following information:

Or should I rewrite all ID3 TAGs in my MP3 files to "SYLT" and "USLT" ?

fb2k does not support SYLT/USLT so if you use any other program to write them, fb2k won't see them.

Anything not listed there will be written as TXXX as detailed by footnote #1

Hi. Thanks for the info, but this applies to the lyrics plugin ("karaoke" function), such as the "Lyrics Show 3" plugin, and it doesn't apply to Foobar2K itself.

But the component will be using the foobar2000 SDK for reading and writing tags so the same limitations apply. I've never heard of any component (which isn't a decoder) bypassing the SDK and rolling their own tag readers/writers. Theoretically possible, not likely.
