Error reading information from file: Unsupported format or corrupted file

Hi there.

Every time when I open a .cue file by using Edit cuesheet this message appears:

Code: [Select]
Error reading information from file: Unsupported format or corrupted file

Please, why this happen and how can I fix that? I use the latest version of foobar2000 (1.6.2).

Many thanks in advance!

Adil

Upload .cue here.

Thanks for your time here!

I think I found the solution. The problem it was a .cue that pointed to a FLAC file that contained all the tracks ripped from a CD. It seems to me that the feature integrated with foobar2000 only works with .wav files, wouldn't that be?

I did a test with a .wav and the feature worked as expected...

For me this function works only on embedded cuesheets that are part of the same FLAC file, not separate files alongside it. To create or edit an embedded cue sheet, open the FLAC file directly in Foobar. It should show only one track if no cue sheet exists yet. The referenced filename does not seem to matter whatsover. It can have bogus extension, etc. You may need free space on the drive to rewrite the file updated FLAC file. Reload it to see tracks. Embedded cuesheets are probably not supported in most players.

You must be right!

I wrote my previous message without having foobar2000 around, just from memory… My test that worked must have been with a .flac file that contained the integrated .cue file...

Thanks!
