Create CUE sheet for multiple audio files.

Hi folks,

I did some googling but couldn't find anything.

Say, I am having a few audio files(mp3, flac, etc) in current playlist. How do I create a single .CUE file for all these audio files in FB2k?

I swear I had done this before with older version of FB2k. If my memory is correct, there was a "create cuesheet" or something like that command in right-click menu but now(v1.3.1) I couldn't find it anywhere.

Any clue?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Convert to a multi-track WAV file. Assuming you don't want a CUE sheet that just references all those random files.

Yes I do want a CUE that references all these files.

And I don't want to touch those files at all...

There are means other than using cue sheets to tag files which you do not wish to modify.

Thanks for that. But I still need to generate CUE sheet.

What I don't understand is, I had done it before, quite sure about that. Just couldn't do it anymore. Is this function moved to another menu or is it removed completely?

foobar now only generates cue sheets in its converter via "Generate multi-track files," automatically embedding it in those file types that support embedding and external in those that do not.

Why specifically do you need a cue sheet?

So there's no way doing so anymore, is there?

The reason is that I have a bunch of audio files in all different formats, .MP3, .APE, .FLAC(embedded or external CUE), ...

When I included this folder in FB2k library, it's a mess. For instance I can have a normal playlist generated from .CUE and another whole .APE of the same album at the same time.

To deal with this mess, I manually generate .CUE files for every playlist that does not have one. Then I restrict FB2k only reads .CUE file. So far it worked brilliantly. But sadly now I can't generate .CUE anymore.

Maybe I will try an older version of FB2k.

Thanks anyway.

Cheers,

Jeremy

So by "mess" you mean the sorting is jumbled? Do the files have the necessary tags to sort them correctly? I can't see why you use cue sheets for it tbh, but if it works for you ... .

Anyway, you might try this component. As far as I can discern from reading, it still works.

Thanks heaps! That thing works as a charm!

Not exactly about sorting.

For instance I have a .APE that has 3 tracks. A .CUE is in the same folder to define those 3 tracks. When I include this folder in library I will get 4 tracks instead of 3 as that .APE is recognized as another track - I call this a mess.

But when I restrict the library to read .CUE only, that will exclude some of my other files which are in .FLAC. That's why I need to manually create .CUE for those albums don't have one.

Now I can do it again.

Cheers,

Jeremy
