Speakers Location

Hey,

I bought about two weeks ago areceiver + 6 JBL speakers.
I plan to hang the speakers in my room, and I need help in selecting their locations.
My problem is that the room is a rectangular shape, the way I see TV drop angle not easy (the TV hanged with a tendency to the bed location):

is somebody can help me locate them ?
i have 2 front, 2 rear, center and sub.

thanks

That's a tough one...

I'd consider basically ignoring the room shape and hanging the speakers from the ceiling, trying to locate them as close to "ideal" as possible around the TV and your seating position.    Or, you might try mounting the 3 front speakers to the TV bracket.  If you can locate the 3 front speakers "correctly", having the rear speakers near ceiling isn't a bad compromise.  (My rear speakers are hanging above the couch.)

Maybe you can mount the left & right front speakers to the TV bracket with drawer slides (from the hardware store).  They could be out of the way most of the time, and you could slide them out for "better stereo" when disired.

The other option would be to ignore your viewing/listening position, and locate the speakers symetrically in the room,  as if you were seated near the center of the room.  This would "look better", but you wouldn't as good of a surround-sound experience.
