dBpoweramp CD Ripper: With "Error," NO music is ripped...

Sorry, full of questions lately.  And I do my best to check old posts but haven't been able to find any that discuss this...

I'm currently ripping in Secure mode (AccurateRip Verified and C2 Error Pointers).  I sometimes even do Ultra Secure.  But when an ERROR does occur, after multiple re-rips, etc., the result is NO SONG.

Is there a way to get the best of both worlds and use Secure ripping, but even with errors dBpoweramp produces the best possible result?

What I'm currently doing is that when an "Error" occurs and the result is no song ripped, I have to go back to the options and do a Burst rip on that particular track.

*In short, when using Secure ripping and an "Error" occurs with track(s), is there an option to have it fall back to the best possible result and rip whatever music it can?

Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

You have the option selected (in Secure Settings) where if the track is insecure then it is marked as 'Error'.

If you are wanting best results if an error, uncheck that, secure mode will return results as good as you can get.

Spoon, you rock.  Quick reply.  Easy fix.  AWESOME!  I was trying to figure that out for awhile...

Thanks.

Though Spoon has perfect advice, in double checking my settings (in Secure Settings) the option "Mark Track as Error if Insecure" is not selected.  Hmmm?

A few tracks that produced an "Error" were played on my home stereo and laptop.  Each song actually played without any skips.  If dBpoweramp produces an "Error" when ripping certain tracks, and the result is a 5KB blip of a song (nothing), but my home stereo and laptop actually plays the songs, I've got to be doing something wrong.

Frustrating...

Your CD Drive is failing to rip a block, the CD must be quite damaged for it to do that.
