EAC-Mareo returned error - wav filename wrong?

My PC crashed and I am trying to duplicate my working setup calling mareo from EAC.  As always, it seems to take weeks to find little errors I've made and fix.

But now I am out of ideas.  I am trying to have mareo call FLAC and Lame from EAC.  I can successfully run both FLAC and Lame from EAC without using mareo.  But when I add mareo I get error message.

As best I can make out, EAC is sending mareo a source and destination file name that is some temporary file name (for example "(tmp660-!.wav").  But in the folder (yes, the error msg indicates that mareo is getting the correct folder) the .wav filename is not some temp name, but the final version (for this example ""(15) Alligator Story - Louis Armstrong.wav").

After EAC completes the .wav file, I get the error messages and, if I am looking at the folder, I see at the same time the file name changes suddenly from "(15) Alligator Story - Louis Armstrong.wav" to "(tmp660-!.wav".  But as soon as I close the error msg boxes the filename reverts back to "(15) Alligator Story - Louis Armstrong.wav".

So I think the problem is mareo is being told to look for some temp file name, but is finding the formal file name instead.  Unfortunately, I can't figure out where to go from here.

Per a note on the mareo site, I tried "fooling EAC" by changing the extension in COMPRESSION OPTIONS from .mp3 to .xxx, but no help.  And I've tried both 'delete wave file after extracting' and not in EAC, and I've tried RENAME= TRUE and FALSE in the mareo.ini file.

Anyone have a similar experience or any suggestions?

Hi judstr,

I don't know if you solved your problem.
I had similar matter to yours and asked kwanbis (mareo developer).

My problem was old mareo.ini file importation inside new mareo version directory.
