Soundcard that allows me to swap speakers round?

I currently have a Creative Audigy 4 with a 7.1 creative speaker system. I have just got a nice new LCD tv with a vga input so I've started using that, my old one had scart so I could use a headphone output into left/right on the scart. With VGA input I have way of doing this so I'm just using my 7.1 I have now.

The way my room is set up is my PC on one wall then my TV directly opposite on the wall erm opposite  So I have my rear left/right speakers round that.

I set my TV as my primary monitor and was playing some games on it earlier and it was great apart from the rear speakers were in front of me, front were behind and left/right had swapper. I can't find an easy software way of swapping speakers around using my Audigy 4, the only thing I can think of is to pull the cables out and swap them round(which i don't want to have to do.)

So my question.. Does anyone know any soundcard that will allow me to easily swap speakers over, like a quick profile switch or something so speakers are all changed round? Or does anyone know of a way I can easily do it with my current setup?

That's an unusual issue, so not only would I say it'll be difficult to find one that does what you're looking for, I'd also say you probably won't, period.

HOWEVER

You can achieve the same effect via a software player swapping the audio channels for you. VLC, for one, can do that. Maybe foobar can too.

You can do that quite easily using kX Project Drivers. You can route whatever you want to any output you choose. Each preset can be saved and later activated using a few mouse clicks.

If you decide to change your drivers, first check the compatibility list located here.

With VLC you can swap audio but I think that only does L/R not front and back as well  Also it doesn't help much with games. I tried the KX Project Drivers with my Audigy 4 I have atm with no joy, wouldnt install with it for some reason. But if you can deffo do it with them I may invest in a new 100% compatible card for it.

-edit-
Might try and install them again with my audigy 4. It seems its mainly for audigy 2 cards but partially support are audigy 4.
I'll have a look round their forums and see what I come up with

Thanks.

Try the newest version 3538m. Yes, Audigy 4 is partially supported, but reported that works fine with SB0610. It is definitelly possible to do what you ask using this drivers, I installed them on my machine.

If you use ALSA, it should be possible to switch between different sound routes using a script.

Running windows btw

Had a play with the KX project drivers, however people seem to have trouble using surround sound with it and changing volume on specific speakers and cant changing the mapping on it either. This is using 3538m with an Audigy 4 SB0610. Tempted to just buy a decent Audigy 2 thats fully supported just so I can see if I can manage it.
