Recover video from digital camera?

I took a video with my Canon A75 digital camera that includes me getting hit in the nuts with a soccer ball. While my friends where watching it and re-watching it, someone deleted it and I took care not to take any more pictures so I don't overwrite the deleted video, but how can I recover the vid?

This might work.

I dl'd it and it looks like it could work but I don't know how to set my camera as a drive in Windows (it installs itself as an imaging device and has a liitle camera icon), the program doesn't see the camera (or it's drive).

The video probably was saved on to the camera's flash card.  Until you recover the file, if your flash card has a write protect switch, make sure it is set to the 'read only' position.  The camera should show up automatically as a drive letter in Windows Explorer.  If not, you might have to use a flash card reader (or find someone who has one).

Not mine, it appears as a Digital Still Camera (complete with brand and model). I tried uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling it, but it appears as a camera again. I also tried with my other computer wich I've never plugged the camera into and it also appears as a camera.

So, How you solved the problem? I have the same problem, but with pictures.

No, it is not a standard removable device. There is not a drive letter assign to this camera. It is recognice as a camera, but it is added as a "camera and scaners" option in windows.

So, but the other hand, most programs to undelete pictures expects a drive as a source. That is the problem

So, anybody knows a software that does not expect a drive letter as a source?

Were the pictures on the camera's internal memory, or on a removable flash memory card?  If on a flash card, remove the card from the camera and find a card reader that accepts your type of card then run a file 'undelete' program.  If the pictures were on the camera's internal memory, maybe try another computer and see if the camera shows up as a drive letter.
