A question on noise masking

Hullo.

Some noises tend to mask other noises out. This is called noise masking. Some noises tend to mask out noises immediately after or before themselves. This is temporal noise masking.

What do you call simultaneous noise masking, to differentiate it from temporal noise masking?

Thanks in advance.

Exactly. Games use formats like MP3 or Vorbis for example. The encoders used to produce the bitstream use masking.
