mp3 playback - if not winamp, what?

How about it?

How many people out there use something OTHER than winamp to play mp3 files?  If so what do you use and why do you like it?

Thanks

Sonique is pretty good.  Good sound quality, but the functions are a little confusing and take soem time to get used to

coolplayer. it's real small and doesn't load the memory and what-not. not like winamp does either, but i was using a ten-year-old laptop for most of this summer, and winamp didn't work well. also, coolplayer can use winamp's input plugins, which is real nice since that's what everybody writes plugins for first.

k-Jofol was VERY cool.  awesome skins and not very resource intensive.  I'm pretty sure the maker got hired to develop winamp 3?  Too bad, they would have been better off continuing development of K-Jofol instead of starting over again for winamp3.

Ok, additional to the one mentioned Creative customers may also use Playcenter 3, an universal audio player.

Some of the features include

- Audio Clean UP (for crackling mp3s and tape/ LP rips
- Movie Mode (rendering 5.1 channels)
- some extra effects

I tried it and it was not that bad at all, if you're just to lazy to tune your sound manually. But for Winampers like me of course no substitute

Most of these features require hardware support and will be a priviledge for Audigy customers...

However highend fans would laugh about these features, they have their own ideas about how audio should sound (and how it shouldn't  )

So I mention it just to complete the list of possibilities...

Nothing beats Media Jukebox 8 (bld 346). Has the best file handling - interface - search functions. Handles any format you can think of. It will do anything you want it to. It's cool.

I tried quite a few players, but Media Jukebox is the only one that didn't leave me constantly wishing for another feature.
No, I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

I hate Creative PlayCentre.

Last I checked, installed along with it is a plug-in for Winamp which is of very little use and has very bad side effects, basically making your Winamp a retarded gimp on acid until you remove the DLL.
