cd's that resist

I have a original copy of a cd called "2 Many dj's", by Soulwax.
No matter what I try I cant get this cd to be recognised by a pc cd drive.
It can be ripped on a linux box - but even on that the files are not there to be seen - but lame can pull them off none-the-less.

Any ideas as to why this cd is putting up so much of a fight ?

Daryl

ps - theres some text on the reverse of the cd that says "manufactured by optimal media production"

Hi,
Look for the CD Freaks link of the "protected audio CD" section of the FAQ.
