updating components on offline PC

Hi

I have a dedicated old win 7 PC in a room where no internet is available (because not needed there). It's also not possible to put it online for just updating, because no network cable and also no wifi connection.
This PC is connected to my speakers and is only playing music using foobar2000.

I have many components installed, mostly kode54's decoders but also some others.

Since I want everything up to date, I currently do it this way:

- on an online PC, I download manually the updated components from the website

- I copy those to the offline PC

- I uninstall the old components using foobar2000

- I install the updated components using foobar2000

As you can see this is a lot of work (it needs to be done manually for each component). If foobar2000 has an update, I have to start all over again for ALL components because I need to reinstall foobar2000 too.

My question is: is there a better/faster way to update components when the components itself are updated or when foobar2000 is updated (on the OFFLINE PC)?

Please tell me the steps to do it in each case.

thx

Seriously, read the replies you receive. You asked about updating foobar just few days ago: https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php?topic=119539.0. You don't "reinstall" foobar2000 to update it, you just run installer and it updates the player with one click.

That topic didn't clarify it but I'm sure there are countless topics about component updates on this forum. You update a component by just installing updated version on top. If it's a .fb2k-component file it's enough to just double click it.

Another option, since you seem to have an up-to-date version of the player on another machine, is to copy the user-components dir from the updated computer and copy it over the this target machine.
