ABX with Foobar for Foobar vs. WinAMP

Ok i recently started frequenting this forum and it has come to my attention that my oppinion means diddly squat. . . . However My ABX results have some truth to them for people.  My opinion is that Winamp does not play vorbiss files as well as foobar.  Specificly that there is hissing in winamp and the files sound dead (upper frequency).  According to my docotor i was able to hear to 23KHz when i was younger but now that i am an old man of 20 i can only hear kinda to 22.(above that is painfull ).  So in my quest to probe my claims i want to PROPERLY Abx foobar vs Winamp Vorbis play back.  If anyone can give some suggestion inorder to make my abx results exteamly controlled and valid then that would be help full.  For example does it matter how far away i am from the speakers both times.  Should i say what hard ware i am using and how old it is and what not or does none of this really matter.  Please lead me in the right direction.  PEACE.

Edit:  Foobar Has ABX but can i use it to ABX the winamp plugin and if i did would that be fair.

This is a Prime Example of why people should read the fAQ

Disable the Winamp equalizer, that should fix the problems.

Ok, that sounds quite resonable. I guess I won't ABX it then.  I think i will stick to foobar any way i like how i can actually read the play list and customize and what not.  I haven't figured out how to seek or code my own playlist lay out but i am sure i can just copy someones who knows what they are doing.  Thank you for respoding to this.

ABX procedure: Take your vorbis file and use Winamp and Foobar's diskwriter programs to save two WAV files. Make sure they're of the same format (44100Hz, 16bit, stereo). Load the two WAV files in foobar, select the two, and run the ABX test. See if you can notice a difference. If you can, congratulations.
