Downloadable Album Covers - Preferred Sites?

I would like to download album cover images to put into my ripped cd folders for use with my new Cowon S9 mp3 player.

I tried a few by simply doing a Google image search but I found the image file sizes were generally pretty small and therefore, looked grainy on the S9.

I've been doing a bit of research but am somewhat overwhelmed with the number of websites that offer downloadable album artwork.

If anyone can lead me toward some avenues that would offer larger image sizes and/or semi-obscure indie album artwork, I would appreciate it.

Thanks all!

Check out Album Art Downloader XUI. It aggregates a whole bunch of album art sites into a single search.

If these are "ripped CDs", do you have a scanner?

ah, excellent!

thank you all for the great sites. i've had good success so far finding diverse and not-so-mainstream artwork among these sites, and good quality too!

yeah, i thought of scanning too but

a) don't have a scanner
b) lots of ripped cd's were borrowed and from the library
c) i only wish i had that kind of time.

thank you everybody for the recommendations.

I appreciate that a scanner can't help with rental CDs you ripped but it is such a useful item and they are so cheap (used) that it's well worth getting one.  I have a (very) old Trust USB flatbed scanner which is ideal for this kind of task, works well,  produces images which are more than adequate for printing (it can produce 1200 DPI images while 300 DPI is all that is required for making a very nice CD cover), can do OCR, integrates with mail client and image editors etc.  Total cost? £0.  The person who gave it to me considered it to be junk, and until I used it I almost agreed    A quick look on Amazon and ebuyer and similar shows these are not that cheap new (start at about £35 - £40) but checking ebay shows there are many many people who apparently consider them to be close to worthless (I guess they seem pointless if you've since bought a typical all-in-one copier/scanner/printer) and offer then for almost nothing i.e. some even below £5, with many more around £10.

I have a lot of CDs which have very attractive or interesting booklets, both in terms of artwork and in information, and backing this up has become almost as important to me as backing up the actual audio content of the CD.  In fact I very much regret that I didn't always do this as a matter of course, especially with rented and borrowed CDs, and others I've somehow mislaid (moving house is perilous!).
