config/skin with song AND album rating?

is there a complete config/skin that offers song rating AND album rating (NO auto-rating)? the rating system should have clickable stars (like in itunes). the only one i found is "fofr" which is outdated and not continued. "xchange" and "darkone" don't offer album rating.

Do you care of where album rating will be store?

the only way to do it i see is creating a file entry for each album rated by using a wsh panel to rate the album. these file entry could after be used in elplaylist as well.

can't you use the context menu for album rating and just use the clickable stars for track rating? you can modify the context menu so "Rating" appears as a root option like this...

@falstaff: that way it would be fine. will this feature actually be available in xchange 3.5?
@marc2003: I already put rating as a root option but I don't see how I should rate albums like this. If I click an album to rate it foobar just rates all the songs it contains. do i have to add something?

What about the component called custom database?

You could create a field like 'ALBUM RATING' that will be stored on a separate database, then you could create an action that will be executed on the %album% scope, so if you set the action 'set album rating to 5' on a song the whole album gets the the same rating.

It's more powerful than that, though.

It relies on the metadb_display_hook API

Sorry... didn't know that! I mean you're the first to mention that!

Anyways... why is my fb2k not complaining about it and working flawlessly?

P.S. I'm using vs 0.9.6.7

Aw.. shucks!

I was thinking of the very similarly named (and functioning) foo_custominfo.

foo_customdb is one of those components that I know next to nothing about by that mysterious japanese developer(s?).
My apologies for the confusion.
