Distortion in mp3's

When I play mp3's on my computer I get crackeling when It gets to a louder part of the songs.

I played these files on my iAudio U2, no problems sounded great.

But I tryed it in all my mp3 players on my computer (winamp, wmp11, iTunes, songbird)

I still get them, Is there something I'm dooing wrong or something on my computer I have thats messing the sound up.

It's called clipping or clipping distortion. It occurs because your volume is too high.

Try again with lower volume settings in your mixer/music player, with no equaliser and no DSP effects.

If you want to minimise clipping, you might want to try Replay Gain. (MP3Gain, Winamp 5.3x, etc.)
