mp3 Analyzer for Mac?

I just read about a tool called EncSpot for windows which lets you analyze the way an mp3 has been encoded.

Is there anything similar available on the mac platform, or any other way I can establish whether an mp3 was encoded using LAME?

Many thanks in advance for your insights.

Well, if you can't find a dedicated program on say versiontracker or macupdate, you can always just use a hex editor (ie 'shed') and do search for the "LAME" text signature in the file.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

If anybody does know about a mac supported mp3 analyzer, I'd still love to hear about it.
