Irc Applet Added To Hydrogen Audio

Hi all.

We added IRC Applet to the board services.
It goes straight to the Hydrogen Audio's IRC channel (#project_mayhem at irc.openprojects.net).
The link is located in the top user panel, as everybody obviously can notice..
It uses member name as a nick by default.

Btw. the channel has been in use over a year already, although it may not be familiar to many of the newer members, especially since it hasn't been advertized so often.

What do you guys think about moving over to irc.vorbis.com? At least it's closer to the only developer community that I know of...

Hey good to see that you moved the icon next to the forums and portal link where it belongs. Are you going to try to get a nicer icon for it in the future?

One suggestion for the channel is to advertise to get on it at a certain time each week. Although I know that this is difficult because this baord seems truly international, another site that I go to where most of the people are American they get together on Wednesday and Sunday evenings and this helps get a bunch of people together at the same time. Just a thought.

Hmm... a better looking chat-icon? Maybe somebody can design one? 

Heh, supposedly that icons resembles an ear or something..

Sometimes I can't connect thru the applet...
I don't really know why I can sometimes...
It tries to use "Jan S." as nick and can't...then when it tries to find another nick it tries to use "Jan S.22" etc.
Not helping the problem. It thinks the nick is in use.
The /nick command doesn't work either; nothing happens.

The openprojects/freenode irc server doesn't approve fully numeric nick.
Try to use this command: /nick _12345

Ok, I cahnged it so that you can define your nickname before connecting.

And it says Jan is already used.
I used Jan for both realer name and nick name.

Traced down a bug it seems....

I can connect the first time everyday... then I have to wait a day till the applet works again. weird.

It can't log in.
