Last Track Detection

This will be short, simple yes or no answer please.

Is there any way to compare one track to another, eliminating the need for a lasttrack tag or xx/xx tracknumber formatting?  Say if the last track of an album was 12, and it could detect that the next track in the playlist was a track 1 (beginning of new album)?

Just playing around with the copy command over here...

no.  Titleformatting applies only to one track at a time.

Just a random idea out of the blue, maybe for a plugin or the next version of foobar; how about the ability to search the playlist for a specific tag using a new function?

Something like this: $search(nameoflist, tagtosearchfor,[secondtagtomatch],[thirdtagtomatch]), and it would return the number of tracks matching tag (or optionally two or three tags) on the specified playlist.
We're all just noise on the wires..
