Best Preset?

I did a little reading a few days ago and as far as I could tell at the time the r3mix preset was the best one for archival quality at optimum file size. So I went ahead and encoded my cd collection using this method (took ages, there was alot of music ). Although I didn't use eac they extracted ok, I used dbpoweramp to rip to wav and batch encoded overnight with razorlame (dbpoweramp seemed quicker at ripping).

Anyways, looking through the forum it seems like the alt-standard preset would of been a better idea. Is there a big differance between the two anyway?
Thanks,

You will be glad to know all Presets and Alt Presets are now included in dBpowerAMP Music Converter (current beta version, full release 9 4th July).
