Leggo My Eggo

I am in the market for a pair of portable cans. The Eggos look really good, and and sony claims they have an awesome range (10-25000), but they look big. Reviews have said they're really not as big as they look. To me they look like they are the size of standard DJ headphones. If anyone can tell me about how big they are and if they can be easily transported in a backpack, or large pocket it would be greatly appreciated.

they are only big enough to fit over one's ears, they are not like the DJ-style phones that you are thinking of.  I've got a pair I am trying to sell actually.  I have a buyer right now, if I can work out the details, but if that falls through, I'd consider selling them to you.
WARNING:  Changing of advanced parameters might degrade sound quality.  Modify them only if you are expirienced in audio compression!

Are they small enough to put in your pocket? I need a quality set of cans to lug to school on a daily basis.

Not really.  Unless you wear really baggy pants and still want a bulge there.

"No! No! They're my headphones, I swear!"

I think I'm either going to get the px100s or sr 60s. Thanks for the help though.

Good choises, but I'd recommend to take a closer zoom at Koss Porta Pro.
For outdoor use it's good cause it have "small" bass boost and why not for indoor too, though I'd prefer SR-60 for indood use.
Those phones fit definitely in even small pocket.
Where's my Plextor ?! > Exact Audio Copy > foobar2000  > RME HDSP 9632 > Denon PMA-725R > Dynaudio Audience 42 (or Beyerdynamic DT 531)

I need strong bass in my cans because of the music I listen to. I listen to ambient, elctro-*, experemental, ect., In other words boring boom tisk music  . I have heard the grados are perfect for rock, which worries me a little since rock is mainly mid to high range. However, people have said that the grados blow away the senns px series.

yeh i'd avoid senns for that type of music. Grados should be good though.

I love my px100's, but I definitely wouldn't call them bass heavy.

Are the Grados portable enough for a pocket?
