foo_input_sacd component

Hi:

I am new to this forum.

I just downloaded an ISO file which was created by someone from an SACD. Since I do not have an SACD player, I want to convert this to FLAC so I can burn to a regular CD-R. I was under the impression that this can be done via Foobar 2000.

I just added the foo_input_sacd component and attempted to open the ISO file. Although Foobar 2000 now recognized .iso and a supported format, I get the following error message:

Unable to open item for playback (Seek offset out of range):
“C:\(p) 2008 Essential Music – Georg Philipp Telemann (1681 – 1767). Complete Orchestral S.iso”.

I go the same message when trying a few other ISOs.

Other users from the site from which I downloaded this iso have been able to open it successfully in foobar 2000.

I hope someone here can tell me what I have done wrong.

Thank you very much.

So you downloaded music. From a website. I'm pretty sure there's a TOS against even mentioning that here, leave alone it being illegal.

It is legal. I am paying for downloading.

AFAIK All sites that sell these (legitimately) offer trial downloads so you can see if you can play something before you buy it.  Most also have instructions on how to setup the common players to play them.  I've never had problems following their instructions and the one time I got a bad download the company was very helpful in email.
edit: I should have been clearer.  All of the legitimate music download sites I know offer demos and help.  For SACDs in particular AFAIK It's a violation of the SACD license to sell anything that will allow you to do what you want to do (i.e. get the bits.)

Thanks everyone for not helping me. Forget I ever posted here.

Alternatively, instead of taking the first opportunity to be overdramatic, you could tell us whether you have tried seeking help from the seller, and if not, why. Then perhaps you could tell people why you are not satisfied with their replies, or at least wait to give other members who might guess what you want the chance to help.

Having said that, foo_input_sacd is not a first-party component, so it is not a matter for Support from the official developers, with the corollary that you might be better asking for help from its own third-party developer, especially if no other user here reports having encountered the same problem.

But again, for the latter to possibly occur, you would have to calm down and wait around, rather than taking the first chance you get to make a scene and storm out. Please?
