Hello there!
I would like to ask if someone is able and willing to write a short script for seeking for errors inside logfiles of Exact Audio Copy. It should be able to run by automatic thru every logfile in a source-directory (with hundreds of logfiles), compare the "test & copy" checksums of each musicfile, and finally write any errors (if t&c-checksums aren't equal) in a separate textfile. Last but not least it should report logfiles with "Suspicious position at ..." and "There were errors".
Upload to a one-click-hoster or the upload-server here at hydrogenaudio would be highly appreciated.
If there is already such a script flying around, could someone tell me then the URL for download? - I've been searching over Google, but couldn't find anything.
THX!
In Windows I'd search for *.log files containing the text "blah blah". There's surely a similar option on other OS's too.
Yeah, that's clear. I have done that already in the past (with Total Commander) to find "There were errrors" etc. . But the problem with the different checksums can't be solved by this manner, because EAC doesn't report any errors, if test & copy-checksums are different. It says at the end: "No errors occurred".
Can't you check AccurateRip for all albums, e.g. with CUETools? Millions times better verification of good rips than matching CRC's. There's a very good reason that EAC doesn't report errors when checksums differ.. it's not an error per se.
