Nad C355BEE (http://nadelectronics.com/products/hifi-amplifiers/C355BEE-Stereo-Integrated-Amplifier)
Rotel RA-06 (http://www.rotel.com/UK/products/ProductDetails.htm?Id=42)
Anyone had any experience using any of the above amp's?
Im looking to use it with a pair of B&W 685's.
Cheers, Gareth
I had to make a similar choice with the older models and finally bought an NAD C320BEE.
I don't think you will notice any difference in sound quality, a good amp should never colour the signal in any way. What NAD amps lack in good looks, they make up with their power supply. NAD is very convservative with their wattage ratings, and the transformer in my NAD is massive, therefor I think the C355BEE is the better amp.
However, you have to admit that the Rotel looks really nice.
As I already said, I doubt you will be able to hear any difference between these two, so if you value good looks in you hifi rack, buy the Rotel, else I think the NAD will give you a better bang for the buck in the long run.

I have an older and bigger Rotel amplifier and an older bigger NAD amplifier about 10-15 years old:
- the Rotel has gone a bit noisy while the NAD is still fine
- the NAD does not have an input for a record player while the Rotel does. The extra amplifier for the record player raises the effective price of the NAD
- I use the NAD in the primary location and the Rotel in the secondary
I have the same speakers with the NAD...Av surround sound receiver T744.
I'm no expert at these things but sure sounds great. My first NAD amp from 20yrs ago is still powering away in a pub in Melb.
The NAD has Pre-Out and Main-In connectors.
I don't know but I think the ROTEL doesn't.
i recently got teh NAD. I have a Rotel AMp...980. I had a NAD 370 crap out on me. The switching went bad, so i use it as an amp now.
NADs are lighter on their feet, Rotels more beefy.
