Looking for a cheap but good 2.1 system, and from what I hear, the Klipsch Promedia's are the way to go. But the Logitech Z-2200's also seem to have pretty favorable reviews (THX, booming bass and all that), and right now Logitech is offering a $50 rebate on it. Combine that with Amazon's already discounted price of $107, and that's a mighty attractive price ($57!). Just 'cause that's so cheap, I'll probably end up buying it anyway, but for the record, anyone here have them or willing to give their input? I'd appreciate it.
there's been a few reports here of some issues with the volume potentiometer.
I'm a really happy user of the Z 2200 2.1 speaker system and I can only say good things about it. Didn't know about the potentiometer problems dreamliner77 mentioned, but I haven't experienced any. The Klipsch Promedia are good, and so are the Altec Lansing's, but these from Logitech are also there in terms of quality (and in my opinion much better than the also THX certified 2.1 system from Cambrigde Soundworks).
Anyway, if you're gonna pay just 57$ (!!!) don't think twice... at this price I'd buy a couple more for my other computers.
Enjoy!
