I just noticed today that foobar 2000 was featured as best beta in this months pc pro. They don't say anything bad about it but they still onlt give it 4 out of 6 stars, which i think is a little odd. Still it's good to see that foobar2000 is being noticed.
I took a picture of the actual article with my digital camera, you can see it here:

No surprise we poor Europeans are always one (or two) step behind

[Edit]Sorry: it's a UK magazine! "We poor Italians" is far more appropriate

Doesn't work here: unable to find host www.umisthickey.com.
All in all, it's a serious rival to Windows Media Player.
HAHAHA
Peter: are you ready to sell foobar2000 to microsoft or face legal action?
"11 resampling modes, 19 bit-depth modes and an 18-band equaliser"
LOL!
I typed almost exactly that in Fileforum's review of Foobar2000 Lite (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail.php3?fid=1057979871) (particular post is near the centre of page).
ug. magas(z)ines are stupid. (foobar is great though, of course).

Actually, you can enter your own sampling rate such as 40,000 Hz as long as the ratio between it and the source rate is right . So there are actually more than 11 resampling modes.

I want more evidence behind a idiot post like this. I don't know if there are any good tech mags from UK right now, but I don't know if there is one from anywhere...
When it comes to music mags I personally think it's a UK mag that's the ONLY half decent covering popular/ecclectic right now (special/classical mags excluded, as I don't know), but The Wire (http://www.thewire.co.uk/), all other mags being for 14 yrs old and braindeads. Yes, hard words, but I'm 38 yrs old, norwegian, and have followed international political and music journalism since I was like 13, and I'm not happy. Most of todays pop jurnalism are ill informed, badly written whoredom
