Also ones that use microSD as well.
The best ones I used, in order:
SanDisk Sansa Clip+
SanDisk Sansa Clip Zip
SanDisk Sansa Fuze
Obviously with Rockbox.
Is rockbox necessary for ogg vorbis support?
Also ones that use microSD as well.

@eahm: Why mislead the OP into thinking that Rockbox is necessary for vorbis support?

Sorry I didn't mean that, I meant IMO the player works much better with Rockbox, really I don't even know/remember what the original firmware does.
I made a table for the Sandisk players here years ago to help me remember:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SanDisk_Sansa#Overview (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SanDisk_Sansa#Overview)
One thing to note though is that the Sandisk firmware compiles libtremor with all ARM optimizations disabled, so battery life is quite poor for Vorbis.
the worst thing about the original firmware is the database refresh times. even when you don't change any files but have only plugged the player in to charge, it can still trigger a refresh which renders the device unusable while it does its thing. i remember it taking a good 3-4 minutes with just the 8GB internal memory. given 64GB microSDXC cards are now dirt cheap, i can't imagine what it's like waiting for that...

Since I'm thinking of rockboxing my clip+ how will musepack be?, since i just remembered rockbox supports musepack.

As good as anything else. The original MPC developer (Andree) also worked on rockbox. He helped a lot with our codecs.

I've actually been looking for something that play's MPC i tried using a tablet but its sound quality was very poor & very few players i found could play it properly.
