How to set a playlist folder of .m3u8 instead of default?

Hi there, I'd like to be able to set foobar2000 to use a playlist folder of .m3u8 files instead of the default sqlite playlist library.
This is so I can sync the .m3u8 files to my phone and not have to export/save/load the playlist files each time.
Is there a way to do this in foobar2000 for macos? Thanks!

It does exactly that.

But as far as I know, required components only work on windows.

Thanks regor, that does look quite good!
It seems the the Mac app only has a few 'components' compatible on the official site... Is there scripting compatibility?

You need components for the scripts, so check the installation requisites and look for them. 99% sure they are not available at mac though.
