This will pick up the first image found alphabetically. (Which may not always be the best looking one, but you can always manually save/rename one to artist.jpg, and put that path first in the list to give it priority)

You probably need to explain your problem with some details or hope someone with better guessing powers joins the conversation.

Media Library used to permanently reject files it couldn't decode at the time they were first seen.
For example if your music library contained .DSF files and you didn't have a DSD decoder installed when they were first scanned, those files weren't included in the media library even if you later installed a decoder. Fixing this used to require steps like manually nuking the library's database files under foobar2000 profile. But it has long since been fixed.

Although it isn't free, it does have a Mac version, and the most recent version lets you purchase a licence that can be used for both Mac and Windows installations.

This happens in all releases: 2025-05-09, 2025-05-12, 2025-05-14
x32 x62 both have the same problem and when I roll back to foobar2000 v2.24.5 it works fine again
