Extra frame encoding using faac

Hi,

I've only recently started encoding aac audio using faac so apologies if this topic has been covered before, but I had a search through previous posts and couldn't see anything.

I'm encoding two seconds worth of audio using faac v1.28. It's 24bit, 2channel, 48000Hz so 96000 samples in total. Given that there are 1024 samples in an aac frame I expected to see 94 frames come out from the encoder, with the last frame being slightly shorter. However for some reason I get 95 frames (with the last frame slightly shorter). Can anyone tell me why this is? What's more when I wrap this aac stream in a mp4 file it doesn't seem to play right unless I tag the metadata in the mp4 file to say there's only 94 frames.

Thanks,
Michael
