AAC - General / Re: Do lowpass filter values have to be fixed to boundaries?
Last post by Klymins -
Low pass filters do not have a specific cut off frequency, they have a transition band where attenuation gradually increases.

Many encoders employ cutoffs that appear to be as sharp as they can be. This is easily verifiable by looking at the spectrograms.

If the cutoff appears as sharp as can be that means you have the resolution on your spectrogram set too low to capture it.  Increase the resolution and you'll see that there is in fact a continuous process of attenuation with no one specific frequency.

X

Isn't this as sharp as it can be? (FFT size = 4096)

FLAC / Re: Tags not showing in file explorer (windows)

Wave tagging is limited, dBpoweramp will write LIST chunk tags, which are non-unicode (??? for non-ansi characters), and it also writes an ID3 chunk which dBpoweramp and other programs can read correctly, but not all programs can.

3rd Party Plugins - (fb2k) / Re: YouTube Musical Spectrum for foo_uie_webview

Currently, I'm busy. So, it is better to reuse the existing code.
Agreed, but I'm looking forward to have features (e.g. but not limited to Mid/Side and even simultaneous L/R and M/S mode, true logarithmic (dB) amplitude scale, and adjustable "attack time"/window skew function) exclusive to FB2K port that doesn't use foo_uie_webview

It's already had logarithmic scale option.

Now that fb2k 2.25 preview is out, I shall bump this with a reminder that anyone using this component should update to 1.3 that I released a few weeks ago.
Oh, thank you. I use it sooo often and it saves so much time.
As for your album art plugin. (sorry I may already have asked) - will you migrate it to jpegli? I think it's just the better jpeg, 100% compatible, better quality, ie smaller file sizes, and faster to encode.

I am so happy to see the return of UPnP within foobar. I am using Jellyfin to stream movies and music to various devices and it was working with Foobar2000 and the UpnP plugin by bubbleguuum. With this latest integrated version when you stream an album to Foobar it will only load the first song and the player controls within Jellyfin are not working. Is there anything that can be done to solve this issue?
